About
My name is Kat and I am a rising senior (insert tears here) from Biddeford, Maine. I am majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology and am applying to dental school after I graduate this spring. I love to cook, run, watch sports and spend time with friends and family. Aside from UROP, I am involved in many clubs and organizations such as Shadowing at Michigan, K-Grams, In My Shoes and Greek life. I love UROP because it gives students who have no research experience the opportunity to learn and creates a welcoming and safe space for everyone. My UROP lab unfortunately moved schools after my freshman year, however, because of the experience I gained I was easily able to move to the lab I am in now studying Parkinson’s disease, in which I am planning to complete an Honors Thesis.
