About
Hi! My name is Aniela Crayton and I am an incoming Senior in the college of LSA, majoring in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology (MCDB), as well as history. Likewise, I am following the pre-med track, with the hope of attending medical school. On campus I am a CPT member of Dance Marathon (DMUM), involved in M-HEAL, and volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House and inside Mott Children's Hospital. So, if you're interested in any of these clubs or volunteering opportunities, I would love to talk about them with you. Along with these I am also a research assistant in the Keegan Lab, where I get to help study pediatric genetics using mouse models! Prior to working in the Keegan lab, I also worked in a social comparison psychology lab freshman year under Dr. Todd Chan.
From a more personal standpoint I grew up in Huntington Woods, Michigan, which is around 45 minutes away from Ann Arbor. Some of my hobbies include running, baking, reading, skiing, traveling, and hanging out with friends, and I would love to hear about any exciting places you’ve visited and any incredible food you’ve had or baked! Also, I of course love watching tv shows and movies. Right now my go to tv show is Brooklyn 99, but my favorites are probably Gilmore Girls, Friends, and Grey's Anatomy. For movies, I am currently reading the Harry Potter series for the first time, so when I finish a book I watch that movie, and so I am really into the Harry Potter movies right now! I am so excited to be a UROP peer facilitator and can’t wait to learn about all of the research projects that students find and see all the amazing things that come from those projects!
