Alyssa is a junior from Troy, Michigan studying Neuroscience. Alyssa started in UROP working as a research assistant in an Ecology and Evolutionary Biology lab studying neurological genetic variation in polistes fuscatus paper wasps. Alyssa is the Vice President of Phi Chi (pre-med co-ed professional fraternity), Mentor for Michigan Pre-Med Advising Community (MPAC), and volunteers for the Spinal Cord Injury Department and Trauma Burn Unit at UM Hospital, the Red Crosss and Summer in the City. Alyssa is most excited about finishing all of her pre-med classes this year and applying to medical school.
