Julien Heidt

Julien is a senior majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a minor in Asian Studies. She is currently a research assistant in Dr. Alex Rickard's microbiology lab in the School of Public Health where she studies the architecture and composition of urinary catheter derived biofilms. Outside of UROP, Julien enjoys dancing ballet, doing Pure Barre and is the Editor in Chief of the student run food publication Wolverine CuiZine. As a Peer Facilitator, Julien hopes to share her passion for discovery with her UROP students as well as prepare and excite them about their future academic and research related endeavors. Julien is excited about her new group of lovely UROP students, the stats class she is taking for fun and hopefully visiting her mom in Jordan over winter break!
