About
I was in the UROP Community-Engaged Research section as a sophomore, and for my project I was a policy intern with Detroit Disability Power. I loved this internship and learned so much from it! The summer after my sophomore year I also took part in the Women and Gender summer Fellowship Program, which is also through UROP. For this program I did wet lab research on ovarian cancer in mouse models. This project was also really interesting, and I appreciate that I got two very different research experiences out of my time with UROP, which both helped narrow down my interests and find my current research project.
