About
Hi! I’m Sania Shoukat, a junior studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan, and I expect to graduate in 2028. I’m especially interested in aircraft and space systems, and after finishing my bachelor’s degree, I’m hoping to continue my education by pursuing a master’s degree in aerospace engineering. Long term, I hope to work in the aerospace industry and contribute to projects that allow me to apply both the technical and hands-on sides of engineering.
Through UROP, I’ve been able to work on the Intelligent Radiation Awareness Drone (IRAD) project. I’ve gained experience with CAD, drone hardware, telemetry, and troubleshooting different problems that come up along the way. I enjoy that UROP gives me the chance to work on a real project and get more hands-on experience outside of my classes.
Outside of school, I like playing video games, especially Minecraft, watching shows, spending time with my family and friends, and working out. I used to powerlift as well, and I still enjoy going to the gym and staying active. I’m looking forward to continuing my education and gaining more experience as I work toward a career in aerospace.
