About
I first got into research during my second semester on a cold email to my current research professor Dr. Myles Durkee who does research in racial codeswitching which I was super interested in at the time. I joined UROP the next year continuing in the lab focusing on a variety of projects and studies while presenting on racial climate at the University of Michigan for Black graduate students. I have presented on the same topic within LSA DEI Office and multiple presentations on Black student activism and its effects at the University of Michigan with OAMI and BSU. Currently working on my thesis looking at Trotter Multicultural Center as a counter-space for Black students to help foster and shape their racial identity.
