About
Maria is a Stamps Scholar studying Industrial and Operations Engineering (IOE) with minors in Computer Science and Community Action and Social Change. She is passionate about education and is the founder is president of the non-profit G.R.O.W. (Generate Real Opportunities and Wonder) Tutoring Program, which also a student organization on campus. Maria is involved in the College of Engineering DEI Student Advisory Board, the Center for Educational Outreach, and the CSE mentorship program. Maria has always found it rewarding to work with students as an IA and ENG 110 Departmental Ambassador. She thoroughly enjoyed her time in UROP where she felt her facilitator was an integral part in making her experience enjoyable. Maria is excited to be peer facilitator in hopes of paying it forward and making students feel the same.
