About
Hi! My name is Sarah (class of 2027), and I am a rising junior at U of M! I am a Biology, Health, and Society major with a minor in the History of Health and Medicine on a pre-medicine track. Outside of school, I love to workout/run, travel, play the guitar, and cafe hop!
I joined UROP as a sophomore, and I loved the support and structure that being a part of the program gave me as I navigated what it was like to do research as a U of M student. The program also gave a sense of community knowing that there were fellow peers who were experiencing similar feelings as we walked through every step of the program together.
My personal goals involve exploring the different kinds of factors that contribute to our health - whether it be our exercise, nutrition, chronic illnesses, etc. - so UROP acted as a perfect way for me to explore areas outside of my original scope and further show me how much our lifestyle impacts our health. As I continue working with UROP as a peer facilitator, I hope to support and guide incoming first and second year students as they gain their footing in the world of research!
