About
I joined the Physical Sciences section of UROP in my freshman year and conducted archaeological research in Dr. Alicia Ventresca Miller's Ancient Protein and Isotope Laboratory during that time. I greatly enjoyed my experience there and loved getting to learn about archaeology, as well as getting to present at the UROP Symposium. The summer after my freshman year, I was a fellow in UROP's Detroit Community-Engaged Research Program, during which time I interned at the MSU Extension Detroit Partnership for Food Learning and Innovation (an incredibly cool urban farm) and had the opportunity to live and learn in Detroit. At the end of that experience, I gave a short oral presentation at the DCERP Summer Showcase. During my sophomore year, I joined Dr. Kerri Pratt's group to conduct research in analytical and environmental chemistry, where I have been fortunate to present my research on gas-phase Arctic atmospheric chemistry and composition at the Michigan Geophysical Union and URAN|UM symposiums.
