About
Class of 2027
Major: Statistics
Minor: Data Science
Although it might be surprising to hear about somebody that actually enjoys mathematics, I would like to say I enjoy it not only because of how technically challenging it can be, but also because of how applicable it is to numerous situations in life. Math is a universal language, no matter how many different communities and cultures you may encounter, math will always be something that will be easily interpretable and understood. This is why I would like to connect with others across the world to be able to apply statistics, and be able to develop solutions for communities in need.
I recently went on a service trip to Cusco, Peru where I was able to meet young students and present to them about the importance of careers in STEM, and encourage them on the possibility of blossoming their interests in STEM into pursuing a career in STEM. As I have Peruvian roots, I couldn't have been more excited to engage with my community whilst bonding over something I love. I would like to continue to encourage young students who have a knack for math, that it is possible to use their skills for good, and share in this passion with others across the world.
