About
Hi, my name is Omosiuwa Enakpene! I am a rising junior with a major in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience (BCN), and am planning to graduate in 2025. Following graduation, I plan to do research and then attend medical school with interests in adolescent psychiatry, neurology, and women's health. I am originally from Nigeria but my current hometown is Midland, Texas. Choosing to attend UMICH has been so much fun and so rewarding. I have met some pretty incredible people during my time here and cannot wait to keep meeting more. In my free time, I love to stay active by working out and going on walks, reading, listening to music, watching movies with friends, and trying out new places to eat! Aside from school, I’m a part of the hEARt Listens Club, a summer academic peer advisor for LSA, and a volunteer at Michigan Medicine. I started UROP my sophomore year and really enjoyed my time there and built some amazing connections with my lab members and PI that were strengthened because of UROP. My experience in UROP during the school year led me to participate in UROP’s Biomedical and Life Science program this summer, and it has been a remarkable learning opportunity, allowing me to work full-time on a project that interests me. I am super excited to be a peer facilitator this year and create an inclusive and supportive environment in seminar and guide my students in their research and career plans and I look forward to meeting everyone!
