About
Hi everyone! My name is Lanny Lo. I'm a current junior studying pharmaceutical sciences and also pursuing a computer science minor. Post undergrad, I’m planning to go to pharmacy school to get a PharmD degree. I’m hoping to work either in ambulatory care or a similar field in the future as I think pharmacists can help provide deeper care by maintaining accessibility to health care. This next year, I am super excited to be on the UROP staff because I really felt that this program helped shape my future goals and gave me such valuable research and mentorship experiences. I’m looking forward to being able to share these experiences with new researchers!
At UMich, I spend a lot of time with MA:E magazine– a fashion magazine geared toward the APIDA community. I'm the outreach director there and I love getting to meet new people through this student org. In my team, we do a lot of crafting and event planning and I find that I’m constantly learning various art forms. I'm also in the Pre Pharmacy Student Organization (PPSO) and spend my time working at Walgreens as a pharmacy technician.
When I have free time, I'm probably scrolling on Pinterest or reading in the diag. I also love going to the farmers market in Ann Arbor or just strolling around Kerrytown. I’m a big foodie and I love any excuse to go out to eat or experiment with cooking new things. I’m also a fan of science podcasts like Hidden Brain or American Innovations. One of my favorite things about the University of Michigan is probably the quintessential football weekend. I also enjoy working out with my friends at the IM building or playing tennis recreationally.
