Technology we can assist students with includes iClicker, Adobe, Google, and WordPress. Students can come to us for in-person assistance from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the Modern Languages Building Room 2001. Alternatively, we also provide virtual walk-ins via Zoom during those hours. We also offer workshops on different tools used in LSA courses.
Equipment Loans
Our team circulates a wide range of equipment to those with active LSA or College of Engineering affiliation. This includes laptops, tablets, microphones, cameras, lights, tripods, speakers, and projectors. Central Campus checkout centers are located at Mason Hall Room G340, Modern Languages Building Room 2001, and East Hall Room 1056. Equipment can also be checked out on North Campus at the Duderstadt Center Room 1315. Each loan location offers unique equipment, for example the Duderstadt Center offers virtual reality headsets, while the Modern Languages Building offers media rooms reservable for collaborating in groups and digital media editing at state-of-the-art workstations.
Visit Our Service Centers
Our Service Centers are the first point of contact for help requests. Walk-in support is available at Mason Hall Room G340, Modern Languages Building Room 2001, and East Hall Room 1056. We can assist with everything from installing MPrint printers to downloading university-licensed software. We can also troubleshoot any issue with LSA-managed devices, and if we can’t resolve the issue, our staff are knowledgeable about who can.
Lecture Recording
100% of LSA classrooms, and many additional LSA instructional spaces, such as conference rooms, have the capability of recording lectures. Instructors can choose which students can view lecture recordings—making every lecture available to the entire class, or only recording select lectures and sharing them with a few students. Instructors can also adjust the angle of the camera in the classroom to focus on important visual content, make basic edits to the recordings, and share the recordings on Canvas.
