Founder and director of the Center for Social Solutions, Earl Lewis, was one of the six faculty members at the University of Michigan to earn the title of Distinguished University Professor on July 18. Lewis is recognized as the Thomas C. Holt Distinguished University Professor of History, Afroamerican and African Studies, and Public Policy. This appointment serves as an acknowledgement and appreciation of Lewis’ outstanding academic contributions. 


Lewis was honored along with John Ayanian, Paul Courant, Judith Irvine, Anna Suk-Fong Lok, and Scott Page. Read more about them in The University Record.
