Introducing the new Muslim chaplain at Felicity Foundation, Shaykh Aamir Motiwala.
Shaykh Aamir will be joining the Felicity Foundation team full-time to serve the UM-Ann Arbor community. He brings scholarly training, passion, and skills that will help grow the resources available to Muslim students.
Shaykh Aamir was born & raised in Seattle, Washington. He completed his scholarly training in South Africa and Pakistan, and went on to post-graduate research & studies at Darul Qasim College in Chicago. His interests include islamic law, philosophy, mental health, & civilization values. He is passionate about education & making Islamic knowledge relevant to American Muslims. In his free time, Shaykh Aamir dabbles in metalworking. He also enjoys fantasy novels & exploring coffeeshops. He recently relocated to Canton with his wife.
He brings experience in teaching & HR to the role, as well as advising students at University of Chicago informally during their encampment. Shaykh Aamir began in the position full-time on July 29th
