On February 22nd, at 7:00 PM, the Islamic Society of Ahlulbayt hosted the Blessed Births of Shaaban lecture in North Quad 2345. This event featured a lecture by esteemed scholar Sayed Ahmed Qazwini, followed by a dinner and a game of Jeopardy. Sayed Ahmed Qazwini brought a wealth of knowledge to the event. As a respected speaker and educator, he shared profound insights into the significance of Shaaban in the Islamic calendar, particularly focusing on the blessed births of Imam Hussein, Imam Zain al Abideen, and Imam Mahdi.
Imam Hussein, known for his unwavering commitment to justice, and Imam Zain al Abideen, revered for his patience and piety, were highlighted during the lecture. Sayed Ahmed Qazwini delved into the enduring relevance of their legacies, urging attendees to embody their principles of justice, compassion, and spiritual reflection.
