Rory Crook, Kinesiology
Rory worked in Durgapur with those the suffered health problems from polio deformities and congenital birth defects that restrict movement. Rory created awareness of physicality, increased muscle dexterity, improved muscle agility and taught basic preventative strategies to combat paralysis.
Caleb Hayman, History
Children Reconciliation and Women Learning Society and Missionaries of Charity, Daya Dan House in Kolkata. Caleb observed and analyzed how children’s organizations interact with the city space of Kolkata, trying to understand the central paradox: protection vs. dependence.
Sairah Husain, LSA
Institute of Development Studies in Kolkata. Sairah studied areas of commonalities in women entrepreneurs’ experiences with special focus on: heir gender, government help and empowerment.
Adam Khan, Ross School of Business/LSA
Adam worked with The Mission Hospital in Durgapur. He identified gaps in operations that weren’t being met by current electronic medical records systems. Identified future community issues that may arise as a result of current administrative systems.
Meha Pandey, Engineering
Meha worked with the Kojawara Hospital in Udaipur. Meha’s project was improving the patient experience at the Kojawara Hospital. Goal was to decrease the importance of the private doctor in the villages.
Adhiraj Vable, Engineering
Worked with the Jnana Bodhini School in Pavagada. Adhiraj set up a solar powered computer lab for them.
Ye Wang, LSA
Ye worked with the Society for Voluntary Action, Revitalization and Justice. She interviewed supermarkets and farmers engaged in the supermarket supply system to study the new supply system of supermarkets in Bangalore.
