Mary Kruk earned her Ph.D. in Social Psychology and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from The Pennsylvania State University and is a proud undergraduate alum of the Women's and Gender Studies Department at University of Michigan. Her research interests include (1) how marginalized people determine the likelihood of prejudicial experiences through safety and threat cues and (2) how to enhance the psychological well-being of stigmatized groups. Her teaching interests include the psychology of gender, gender-based violence, and the intersection of social science research and activism. In addition to being a Lecturer, Mary is also a Research Project Manager at Veris Insights, where she conducts strategic quantitative and qualitative research studies with major companies to improve workplace wellbeing (e.g., psychological safety; retention of marginalized employees).
