Rachel Best wins ASA Outstanding Publication Award
Rachel Best has received the Eliot Freidson Outstanding Publication Award given by the ASA section on Medical Sociology for her paper "Disease Politics and Medical Research Funding: Three Ways Advocacy Shapes Policy" which appeared in the journal American Sociological Review. Rachel is currently a Robert Woods Johnson postdoctoral fellow. In Fall 2014 she will join the Michigan Department of Sociology as Assistant Professor.
