Professor Pamela Smock will begin a 3-year term in January 2012 as a board member of the Population Association of America. Other newly elected board members are John Haaga (NIA), Megan Sweeney (UCLA), and Yang Yang (UNC). The new PAA President-elect is Christine Bachrach (Univ MD) and new VP-elect is Duncan Thomas (Duke).
