George Steinmetz will give a keynote address at the annual meeting of the German Sociological Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Soziologie) in Frankfurt am Main, Oct. 11-15 2010. The German Sociological Society is celebrating its 100th anniversary in the city where it held its first meeting. Prof. Steinmetz will lecture on “The Imperial Entanglements of Sociology and the Question of Scientific Autonomy: Germany, France, Britain, and the United States (1910-2010)."
