In recognition of our extremely high level of commitment to environmental stewardship and IT resource conservation, the Department of Sociology has been recognized by the University as having attained the highest, "Gold" certification.  The ratings are based on the University's green computing best practices.

The department received a certificate for the office and will have our name placed on a plaque next to a new tree planted on central campus in honor of our collective effort
