During these hour-long sessions, PitE alumni share about their experiences working in various environmental fields and answer questions submitted by students.

Environmental Career Chat with Ayako Tischler (Water Policy Consulting)
Wednesday, Oct. 26, 5 - 6 pm
Ayako is a proud graduate from the Residential College, with degrees in Economics and PitE and a minor in business. She currently works in environmental consulting, focusing specifically on drinking water infrastructure and policy. In her role, she managers water testing programs for state and local government clients and contributes to business development through industry and policy research. Through her job and thanks to wonderful friends, she has been lucky to move every few months and live all over the United States. Outside of work, Ayako is involved with the Japanese American Citizens League and serves on the National Youth/Student Council. Her personal identities and professional interests converge in exploring representation in the outdoors industry and learning about the relationship between public lands and their neighboring communities. She has found great community through sharing her experience on @aya_explores on Instagram!

Environmental Career Chat with Sabrina Lam, Jelena Pejovic, and Olivia Klem (Sustainable Business)

Sabrina Lam - Sustainability Senior Analyst at Deloitte
Sabrina is a Sustainability Senior Analyst with Deloitte's Sustainability and ESG team. She graduated UM with a B.A. in Economics and Environment in December 2021. Her main interests are in corporate sustainability, social impact, and sustainability reporting.
Jelena Pejovic - Deal Strategy Associate at Strategy
Jelena majored in Environmental Science (specialization in corporate sustainability) and Economics and minored in Business. Along with being an Erb Fellow, she was a Graham Scholar, served as VP of Sustainability in Net Impact, worked as the consulting peer advisor at the UCC, along with many other involvements. Jelena currently works in private equity consulting where she leverages her business background to create value for clients through evaluation of potential assets and strategic growth development. Her passions are most aligned with the energy vertical and her recent work includes a decarbonization roadmap for a major oil company.
Olivia Klem - US Wealth Advisory Analyst at Black Rock
Olivia graduated in Spring of 2022 from Michigan with a Program in the Environment major and minors in economics and business. She was in the inaugural class of the Erb Undergrad Fellows Program. Her professional interests are in sustainable business and finance, ESG, and impact investing. Olivia grew up in Hawai’i and now lives in New York City. She loves hiking and cooking!
