What is an Internship?
An internship is a short-term, entry-level work experience offered by an organization. Internships can range anywhere from 10 - 40 hours per week and can last anywhere from 4 - 12 weeks.
Internships provide important opportunities to:
- Discover if a career field is a good fit for you
- Gain skills applicable to your future career
- Engage in projects that you can talk about on resumes, cover letters, and interviews
- Build connections with people who can serve as mentors for working in their fields
