Dr. Sheila Contreras will be giving a talk on her research in the fields of Chicana/o Literature, American Studies, and Women's Studies. Dr. Contreras is Associate Professor at Michigan State University where she also directs the Chicano/Latino Studies Program. Her book, Blood Lines: Myth, Indigenism and Chicana/o Literature (2008) was published by University of Texas Press. Her new project is entitled Mestizaje/Métissage: Post-Conquest Literary Cultures in the Americas.
