About the exhibition
Fashion/Forward is an invitational group exhibition presented in the Institute for the Humanities Osterman Common Room celebrating the innovative work by artists with developmental disabilities and/or mental health differences from 16 progressive art studios around the country. Both including fashion and about fashion, the exhibition features drawings, paintings, sculptures, textiles, wearable clothing, accessories, and other fabulous fashion-inspired works and is organized in conjunction with the 2026 Creating Community Conference in Detroit.
