GERMAN FILM INSTITUTE <br>The Cinema of Crisis: German Film 1928-1936Directed and written by Harry Piel. With Harry Piel, Kurt Vespermann, Annie Markart and Hubert von Meyerinck. In this comic thriller, two friends, Tobias Berker and Harry Palmer, enter a contest for the best invention in radio or television broadcasting. By accident, the two invent a spy television that can see through walls and depict whatever lies on the other side on the screen. Trouble ensues when a South American industrialist learns of the invention and will stop at nothing to claim it for himself.
