About
Marjorie Fisher is Adjunct Assistant Professor of Egyptology in the Department of Middle East Studies at the University of Michigan. Her publications include the two-volume monograph The Sons of Ramesses II in which she documents, catalogues, and interprets all material associated with Ramesses II’s royal sons as of 1998. She is co-editor of and contributor to the forthcoming book Ancient Nubia: African Kingdoms on the Nile which covers topics on the history, archaeology, religion, and kingship of ancient Nubia; and she is the author of numerous articles on Egyptian New Kingdom art and architecture. Her archaeological experience includes serving as Associate Director for Epigraphy for the University of Michigan Abydos Middle Cemetery Project as well as participating in the Epigraphic Survey of the University of Chicago at Luxor Temple, and on projects in the Valley of the Kings.
