Have your department approver* complete the LSA Advising File and Appointment System Access form on your behalf.
Faculty and professional staff advisors can access the system, as well as student services staff, support staff, and graduate student instructors who are department advisors. Undergraduate peer advisors may not have access to the system.
If you are only seeking access to the Advising Appointment system, training is not required. Proceed to step 4
To get access to the LSA Undergraduate Student Advising File, training is mandatory. Training can be done virtually by registering on the Training website. If you cannot attend the live virtual training, you can enroll in the online Departmental Advisor Training course.
You will be notified via email once your access to the system has been approved. Log in to the LSA Undergraduate Student Advising File using your U-M uniqname and UMICH password.
Undergraduate Advising Appointments - Customized calendar application used by various departments and offices for student appointments. The department approver must specifically request the access type - staff and/or advisor-level access.
Once your access to the LSA Undergraduate Student Advising File is approved, your department approver will need to submit a request for access to M-Pathways Student Records data via the UM ITS Online Access Request System (OARS) website.
