How to Schedule

Current UM students: if you already know which advising office to schedule with, you can do so directly online using MyAdvising (UM weblogin required).
**More general and pre-health advising appointments drop into the system to choose from each Monday morning starting at 10am. A much smaller number of same or next-day appointments also drop Tuesdays through Fridays at 10am, 12 noon, and 3:30pm**
Students returning to LSA after taking time away, and LSA alumni scheduling pre-health appointments: request appointments using Find Advising.

When Do Appointments Open for Scheduling?

If an accommodation is needed (e.g. mobility, hearing, visual, etc.) for an upcoming appointment, please email ask.newnan@umich.edu for assistance.

Newnan advising offers in-person and virtual (Zoom) appointments year-round. If you are a current or returning student who is away from campus without reliable internet access and you would like to request a phone appointment, please contact our scheduling staff for assistance at (734) 764-0332, extension 5.

Cancellation and No Show Policies

Cancellations: We recognize that there may be times when you have a conflict with a scheduled appointment. If you find yourself in that position, please cancel/reschedule your appointment online. If you do not have access to the online MyAdvising system, please call our office (734-764-0332, extension 5) so that someone else can take advantage of the opening. Please make every effort to cancel an appointment at least 24 hours in advance.

No Shows: If you do not arrive for your appointment (in-person or virtual) within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, the advisor will mark the appointment as a “No-Show” and you will not be able to meet with them during the remaining appointment time.
