Native American Studies and American Culture Associate Professor Joseph Gone was awarded a fellowship by the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. The fellowship is a national fellowship that spans multiple fields. Only 178 scholars were selected from a pool of almost 3,000.

Professor Gone's research focuses on Native American mental health services.
