The Transcultural Studies Program honored the most recent TCS graduates on Friday, April 28th at a celebration at the Michigan Union. Congratulation to the third graduating cohort of the Transcultural Studies program!
Dyanna Bateman started the Transcultural Studies program while finishing her Bachelor of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies and Communication and Media. She completed his Master of Arts in Transcultural Studies in Winter 2023 with a capstone project was titled, "Performative Representation: Why Is Netflix Still in the Closet?"
Margaret Burmeister started the Transcultural Studies program while finishing her Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies with a focus on Korean studies. She completed his Master of Arts in Transcultural Studies in Winter 2023 with a capstone project was titled, "Cultural Competency in Elementary Schools."
Sayanna Roy started the Transcultural Studies program while finishing her Bachelor of Arts in English. She completed his Master of Arts in Transcultural Studies in Fall 2022 with a capstone project was titled, "Split Feathered."
Carly Sahr started the Transcultural Studies program while finishing her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. She completed his Master of Arts in Transcultural Studies in Winter 2023 with a capstone project was titled, "Archive: A Game of Curation and Repatriation."
Kevin Yan started the Transcultural Studies program while finishing his Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies with a focus on Chinese Studies. He completed his Master of Arts in Transcultural Studies in Winter 2023 with a capstone project was titled, "The Transcultural Narratives of Asian American Christians on Campus."
