Miriam Attal

Miriam Attal is the Student Support Coordinator for the Kessler Scholars Program. She is driven by providing equitable access to information and educational services. Miriam is eager to leverage her communications background to support first-generation students through higher education by facilitating access to information and creating an empowering community.

Previously, Miriam interned as a Michigan Library Scholar, where she created resources for researchers. In a communications capacity, she worked at Foundation for a Human Internet to promote digital privacy and education, and with Established to secure equitable access to federal funds for tech start-ups. While receiving her M.S in Communications, she participated in research with the Research Center for Digital Innovation to promote technology justice and supported students as a course-based undergraduate research instructor and public speaking coach for first-year students.
