For students transferring into the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, LSA Scholarships can be a great financial resource. In addition to the many scholarship programs available to students enrolled in an LSA degree program, our office also provides unique scholarship support to incoming undergraduate transfer students admitted for fall term.
Read on to learn more about the opportunities available to incoming transfer students. No matter what school you are coming to LSA from, there's an application for you.
About LSA Scholarships
The LSA Scholarships Office is the home for scholarships within the College of LSA. For many LSA students—over 2,600 in the last year alone—the scholarships provided by our office helped reduce or eliminate their unmet financial need and student loan debt. The majority of our scholarships, including those for transfer students, are awarded to students based on their financial need, as determined by their FAFSA and CSS profile on file with the Office of Financial Aid.
If you’re an incoming transfer student, we encourage you to apply for our scholarships to see how LSA can help you fund your educational goals.

Scholarship Opportunities for Transfer Students
Students transferring from another college or university (including U-M's Flint and Dearborn campuses)
These transfer students should complete the Two-Year Renewable Scholarship application as soon as they are admitted to LSA. Scholarship awards range up to $15,000 per year for in-state students and up to $25,000 per year for out-of-state students. They are renewable for two years of undergraduate study. For more information about these scholarships, as well as instructions on how to apply, visit our Two-Year Renewable Scholarships page.
Cross-campus transfer students from another UM College
Students transferring into the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts from another school or college on U-M's Ann Arbor campus (Ross, College of Engineering, etc.) are not eligible for Two-Year Renewable Scholarships, but they may apply for our Returning Student Scholarships. These scholarships are available to all current LSA students. Scholarship awards can range up to $15,000 per year, and though they do not renew, students can apply for (and potentially receive) these scholarships every year. For more information and instructions to apply, visit our Returning Student Scholarships page.
