Linear mixed-effect (LME) models are incredibly useful for psychological research, but estimating statistical power for them can be challenging. This workshop will describe some of these challenges and how to navigate them when designing studies, focusing primarily on experiments with multiple stimuli. Discussions will emphasize using a conceptual understanding of a psychological process under investigation to guide power analyses and study design.
