Dr. Wright will present efforts to use “off the shelf” commercial generative AI (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to score psychological constructs like personality traits and psychopathology (e.g., depression) from unconstrained, open-ended text. He will cover results from his own work in collaboration with others in which they have found remarkable abilities of this method to extract meaningful scores of complex psychological constructs from relatively brief forms of open-ended text, including brief daily dairies and in lab narratives.
