About
I am a Doctoral Candidate in International Relations at the University of Michigan, with research interests in International Political Economy and Environmental Politics. My research examines how adverse political, economic, and environmental conditions shape firms’ strategic behavior, and how firms’ responses to these conditions, in turn, reshape political and economic outcomes. I focus in particular on foreign investment, corporate climate action, and the governance of international trade. My work develops firm-level theories of political behavior under conditions of political risk, corruption, security threats, and climate shocks.
Before pursuing political science, I was based in Edinburgh, Scotland, where I worked as a professional classical musician with organizations including the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover (Germany), Camerata Bern (Switzerland), and the Wiener Symphoniker (Austria).
I studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and the Hochschule für Musik Detmold, where I earned a Diploma in Music and a Master of Music with distinction. I also hold an MSc in Political Science (First Class) from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom.
