Want to join the CSP community?

 

The Comprehensive Studies Program (CSP) promotes the academic excellence and intellectual curiosity of scholars within our learning community. We provide academic support through intensive sections of LSA courses, holistic academic advising, academic and co-curricular programming, and student support services that utilize high-impact, inclusive practices to encourage student agency and engagement.

We appreciate your interest in affiliating with the CSP community.  Please review the information below on the affiliation process and requirements. If you have any questions please email us at csp-4info@umich.edu. 

Affiliation Requirements

  • Attend a affiliation information session (see below) and complete the application
  • Take the CSP 101: "Exploring Academic Success" course (1 credit) in your next semester of enrollment (Fall 2024 course description is here for your reference)
  • Meet with your assigned CSP advisor to discuss academic interests and goals

Affiliate Information Sessions

Winter 2025

Students interested in affiliating with CSP will need to attend one of the Winter 2025 virtual affiliation information sessions taking place via Zoom on the dates listed below.

Please note:

  • You must register for an affiliation information session in advance.
  • You may register for the session of your choice by clicking on your preferred date above and completing the registration form. Once you register, you will be sent a confirmation via email. We encourage you to click the link in the email that allows you to add the meeting to your Google Calendar.
  • Attendance is required in order to access the affiliation application.
  • Please allow two weeks for membership processing once your application is complete.
  • If you are not able to attend either session due to a course conflict, please complete this form. We will verify your conflict and then share information with you about how to proceed with affiliation.

If your primary interest is to register for a CSP course section, affiliation may not be the best route for you. Please refer to the courses section of our website to learn more about our course offerings and registration policies.
