The Center for Southeast Asian Studies welcomes applications for Student Composer-in-Residence for Javanese Gamelan.
The Composer-in-Residence will gain unique experience, and add to a composition portfolio. The composer will produce a piece for the gamelan ensemble, and other instruments as needed, that can be rehearsed in the Winter 2018 semester for a performance at the annual gamelan concert. The composer will receive a stipend of $2500 during the academic year (in two installments).

Requirements:
- Must be a current U-M student (grad or undergrad)
- Must enroll in Indonesian Orchestra for two consecutive semesters (total number of credits required dependent on prior experience).
