Dear Students,

This week the University of Michigan is hosting the International Conference on Transcription by RNA Polymerases I, III, IV and V (OddPols 2014). This is a high profile international research conference with about one hundred active participants coming from all over the world.

For those of you who are in Ann Arbor and who are interested in molecular biology and/or consider going to graduate school this provides a unique opportunity to participate in a research conference without the need to travel out of town. Thanks to the generous support from Program in Biology and College of Literature, Science and the Arts this conference is open to all U-M undergraduate students.

The conference program is attached. More information is available on the website: http://www.biochem.med.umich.edu/?q=oddpols.

The conference starts on Thursday, June 19th and concludes on Sunday, June 22nd. You are invited to come to all scientific sessions (Rackham Amphitheater) and the poster session (Michigan League Ballroom). Please note that meals are available only to participants who registered and paid the registration fee. Feel free to contact me at wierzbic@umich.edu if you have any questions.

I hope to see you at the conference!
