Dear students,

This summer the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences is hosting a 1-week residential camp at UM for high-school students. The goals of the camp are to get the students outdoors, excited about earth & environmental sciences, familiar with UM's campus, and exposed to career opportunities.

Activities will include: a ropes course, kayaking, water quality investigations, a day on a NOAA ship, a trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes, and building solar cells.

We have positions available to hire 2 instructors to work with the students during the day and two counselors to be with the students in the evening and spend the night in the dorms with them (counselors get their own room and food is provided).  Earth Camp is July 27 - August 1. Instructors would need to be available for 10 -20 hours of prep work the week prior to that.

Please email Jenna Munson (jennamun@umich.edu) if you are interested.
