The Big South Fork National River and Recreation Areas in TN and KY

A Wildlife and Fisheries MS student is seeking 1 field technician to assist with research to confirm presence and foraging activity of 12 bat species, including the federally endangered Indiana bat (Myotis sodalis), within the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Areas (BISO). BISO is currently revising their Fire Management Plan, which dictates the need to understand how fire affects wildlife, particularly threatened, endangered, and sensitive species. The primary duty of the technician will be assisting with acoustic monitoring to confirm presence and pinpoint foraging activity locations of bats.
