A senior on the Computation track, Jamie was a Victor’s Communication Intern for the Michigan Athletics Department. Jamie discovered the opportunity by searching the Michigan Sports Information website, driven by a personal passion for athletics. During the week, the role involved updating game statistics and preparing for upcoming competitions, while during live events, Jamie managed the team's social media and tracked real-time game data.

Although sports communication is not a traditional path for Cognitive Science, Jamie found that a background in computation and psychology was essential for managing data and digital engagement. Jamie’s primary advice for fellow students is to remain open-minded, because Cognitive Science skills are incredibly versatile and should not be limited to a narrow set of industries.
