If you are interested in making your teaching and course materials more inclusive and accessible, the LSA Learning and Teaching Consultants are happy to help.
Accessible Teaching offers some simple measures you can take in your day-to-day teaching to lower barriers to student learning and engagement.
Contrary to what its name may imply, Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is not a one-size model for teaching; rather, it is a model for designing flexible and robust learning experiences and materials that will meet many students’ needs without additional accommodation being needed.
Visit CAST for an overview of the UDL model.
Read concrete examples of UDL in higher ed.
If you’d like to talk with someone about ways to apply UDL to your own course, feel free to request a consultation with the Learning and Teaching Consultants. We’re here to help!
