About
Spent ~5 years at the Ross School of Business, overseeing the transition of AV systems there from analog to digital, before returning to my true alma mater just before the pandemic.
As an AV Project Engineer for LSA, I specialize in designing, writing automation programming for, commissioning, and maintaining digital and network video distribution systems, custom control programming for 3rd party equipment, and IP network and server integrations with AV systems. I am decently versed in C# and have experience in Python, HTML/CSS/JS, C++, and a tiny bit of Ruby, as well as various proprietary programming paradigms used in audio-visual systems. I'm also passable at network engineering, since it's basically a requirement in designing AV systems these days, and I worked in an AV/IT integrated department for 5 years before coming to LSA.
My MO is to make our classroom technology solutions better; we install technology not to work for it, but to have it work for us. Much of my team is focused on new projects; I try to focus on the ecosystem of solutions we have, and how both new and existing solutions will fit into it.
In my spare time I compose and arrange music, play my saxophones (alto and soprano), go for bike rides, play board and video games, and occasionally, travel.
