LSA Technology Services is organized into five areas, consistently collaborating and working across the organization, providing services that support the mission of LSA.
Academic Technology Services strives to provide exceptional and professional partnership to create excellent learning environments for LSA faculty and students, and to facilitate exceptional instructional opportunities both in and out of the classroom. We are here to help with the discovery and integration of new and existing technologies, methods, and content for courses across LSA.
We provide a variety of services for LSA faculty, staff, and students, including: instructional design consultation; audio/visual consultation, design, and implementation; learning space design, relevant architectural construction documentation review, and master planning; review, assessment, and pilot integration of emerging new technologies; and instructional technology funding opportunities.
Operational Effectiveness consists of cross-organizational centers of excellence, capabilities, and processes to improve the integration and effectiveness of LSA Technology Services.
We provide leadership across multiple functions and capabilities including: governance, relationship management, project management, data integration and analytics, communications, change management, inventory and asset management, and service quality assurance.
Research, Computing, and Infrastructure provides a wide variety of services for the LSA community including: foundational technology solutions, operating LSA servers, storage appliances, Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems, web and application hosting, coordination for LSA data center usage and building networks, as well as security consultation and response for over 1500 faculty, 1,100 staff, and 10,000 devices.
We provide consultation and partnership for key research functions such as campus high performance computing and storage, use of geographic information systems, digital scholarship, and research software programming. Additionally, we order, inventory, build, deploy, and support over 10,000 faculty, staff, student, research, and classroom computers, making sure that the LSA community has the technology they need to teach, learn, and work.
Support Services provides immediate help and support for all technology services to LSA faculty, students, and staff.
Web and Application Development Services provides website technical and user experience expertise, and develops and maintains administrative information systems on behalf of LSA for faculty, staff, and students.
We offer a variety of services, including WordPress sites for faculty, labs, and research projects, Adobe Experience Manager implementation for departmental and unit websites, Google Analytics, and MailChimp. We also develop and support administrative and student advising processes in the College of LSA by providing scalable applications and reporting solutions for faculty, staff, and students, focusing on the collection, storage, retrieval and interpretation of data/information.
