Cathy is known for her passion, strategic thinking, creating a collaborative work environment, and being an innovative leader. Cathy has 20 plus years’ experience in various IT and leadership positions across Higher Ed and Industry. Cathy led the effort to create the development of a university-wide IT strategic plan. She has extensive experience in process improvement, change management, IT portfolio management, coaching, and mentoring.
Cathy’s interests include traveling, running half marathons, playing golf, cheering on the University of Michigan sports teams and the Chicago Cubs, and spending time with her husband, two teenage stepchildren, and their dog.
As Director for Operational Effectiveness, Mark is responsible for the strategy, design, and implementation of cross-organizational centers of excellence, capabilities, and processes to improve the integration and effectiveness of the organization. Mark brings extensive process improvement experience both from his prior role as Vice President, Merchandise Planning and Analysis with Borders and within LSA as the Senior Manager for Management Information Systems. In this new role, Mark is excited to provide leadership across multiple functions and capabilities including: governance, relationship management, project management, data integration and analytics, communications, change management, inventory and asset management, service quality assurance, and organizational effectiveness measures.
Mark helped start and has continued to be involved with LSA’s Week of Service event during the past two years. He enjoys exploring opportunities to give back to our surrounding community and is thankful the college supports staff involvement in that area. Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, and is actively involved with coaching youth sports in the Ann Arbor/Dexter area.
Pat is responsible for strategy, design, and service implementation across information systems and web site services. Pat comes with over 20 years of experience in running application development teams. He is looking forward to harnessing the positive and creative energy within the talented group of people who make up the Web and Application Development Services team. Pat is excited to further develop staff and help the team leverage the diversity of resources available in order to provide a great digital experience for our faculty, students, and staff!
Pat enjoys golf, travelling, and spending time at his small cottage on Strawberry Lake with his dog Pike. He has four amazing children—in Atlanta, NYC, Washington D.C. and Detroit.
As Director for Academic Technology Services, Moni is responsible for the strategy, design, implementation, and curricular integration of effective pedagogies, innovative instructional technologies, and ensure excellent classroom experiences, as well as the creation of new teaching and learning spaces (both formal and informal; both virtual and in-person) across the college. Moni’s commitment to the liberal arts and the instructional mission of the college is demonstrated through her contributions as previous Director of the Language Resource Center and founding Director of Instructional Support Services. In this new role, Moni looks forward to exploring new technologies to promote LSA’s instructional mission and strengthening collaboration and innovations with other U-M schools and colleges, as well as working with LSA Facilities, the Registrar’s Office, and the Provost’s Office on classroom master planning. She will work closely with LSA Undergraduate Education, Chairs and Directors, the College Curriculum Committee, and college student services staff to develop strategy and prepare for new modalities in instruction and student learning and implement means to scale academic and instructional innovations in the undergraduate curriculum.
Moni has her BA from Northwestern and MA and PhD in Germanic Linguistics from the University of Michigan. She taught in the German Departments of Indiana University and U-M before turning to the dark side of administration. She enjoys gardening, is active in leadership of her church (especially around LGBTQ+ inclusion), and has been a volunteer at the Humane Society of Huron Valley fostering dogs for the past 10 years.
With over 20 years of experience in information technology, Dush is responsible for developing and leading the strategy, design, and implementation of a new support model to improve the awareness, access, and support of technology solutions for the LSA community. He will lead the integrated support strategy and champion continuous service and support improvements to achieve our vision: To anticipate, innovate, and evolve so that we, our services, and technology are an integral part of each and every person’s life-long LSA experience.
Dush is a lifelong learner—he completed a Ph.D. in Material Sciences at Oxford University and an M.B.A. at Michigan State University. He also enjoys travelling and exploring Michigan’s great outdoors. Dush is highly regarded for providing strong vision, empowering teams, developing people, and delivering exceptional and delightful customer and patron experiences.
As the Director for Research Computing and Infrastructure, Amy is responsible for the strategy, design, and service implementation for research computing, infrastructure, security, and desktop support. Amy comes with over 20 years of experience in IT projects, service delivery, organizational change management, and communications. Amy’s looking forward to building great teams, engaging staff, fostering diversity, and creating leadership opportunities for the talented Research Computing & Infrastructure professionals. She’s also excited to provide strong research computing, infrastructure, and desktop support for faculty, staff, and students.
Amy enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, reading, and time at her cottage on Watson Lake with her husband Jim, daughters Lizzy & Anna, dog Louie, and cat George. She also volunteers locally as a board member for Peace Neighborhood Center.
