Hanan Swidan is a data analytics educator and researcher whose work bridges mathematical modeling, business strategy, and applied data science. She brings over a decade of experience spanning academia, healthcare analytics, and industry consulting to her teaching within the University of Michigan’s Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences (QMSS) program.
Her research focuses on the development of statistical and optimization methods that improve data-analysis workflows across healthcare, education, and business sectors. She also collaborates with industry partners to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world decision-making.
Hanan is thrilled to be part of the QMSS program, where students not only learn powerful quantitative methods but also apply these skills to real-world, socially relevant questions across public and private sectors.
Hanan holds a Doctor of Business Administration with a specialization in Data Analytics, a Master of Science in Mathematics, a Master of Education, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
