About
John Chamberlin is Professor Emeritus of Political Science in LS&A and Professor Emeritus of Public Policy at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. He received his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University and his Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
His research interests include ethics and public policy, political representation and election systems, and legislative redistricting. His teaching interests include ethics and public policy, statistics, and nonprofit organizations.John served as Interim Dean of the School of Public Policy from 1997-1999.
He has also served as Associate Dean of the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies (1986-1989), the College of Literature, Science and the Arts (1991-95) and the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy (1999-2001). He served as the Director of UM’s Center for Ethics in Public Life from 2007-11. He was the faculty director of the undergraduate program at the Ford School from 2007-2011.
